Hi, I'm a computer scientist interested in interdisciplinary research at the crossroads
of computer science, electrical engineering, and experimental psychology. My research focuses on eye movement analysis
for context recognition, multi-modal human-computer interaction, and pervasive healthcare applications.
I'm a postdoctoral research associate in the
Computer Laboratory at the
University of Cambridge, United Kingdom,
funded by a
Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship awarded by the
Alexander von
Humboldt Foundation, Germany.
I'm also a part-time research associate and co-leader of a research group at the
School of Computing and
Communications at Lancaster
University, United Kingdom, and a Junior Research Fellow of Wolfson College, Cambridge, where I co-organise the lunchtime seminar talks.
I'm holding a PhD in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering
from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(ETH) Zurich, Switzerland (supervisor: Prof. Gerhard Tröster).
I received my MSc. (Dipl.-Inform.) in Computer Science
from the Technical University of
Karlsruhe (TH), Germany, in 2006, focusing on embedded
systems, robotics and biomedical engineering.
